My lack of self control has lead to the rapid expansion of my nail polish collection. Lucky for me when I went into Boots this week I saw that Barry M had released a new line of nail polish in time for summer – Barry M Sunset Nail Paint. A sucker for a deal, I bought two faves to give them a shot: “The Way You Make Me Teal,” and “Peach For The Stars.”
Now the gimmick with these is that they apparently harden to a smooth shiny manicure with the natural UV rays in daylight rather than drying them with a UV light indoors. A noble concept but one that’s pretty much impossible to prove since it all depends on the intensity of the light, number of coats you used and variations in top coats. A great gimmick for summer when people tend to spend more time outside in the sunshine.
Despite that I determined that I do like the polish. I painted my nails “Peach For The Stars” several days ago and somehow the manicure is still strong and chip-free. This is a great colour and one of my favourites for warmer weather, a bright mix of pink and orange.
I also really love the packaging with the rose gold touches. The array of colours is perfect for summer and I am excited to collect as many as I can.
